Anlaby Studios enables professional training in the creative and performing arts. With a rich timetable of activities, all taught by specialists, the building is a creative hub for those wishing to forge pathways to future careers or hobbyists wishing to develop their skills.
Our multi-purpose spaces host a range of classes and events and are also available for hire. Whatever the use, be it classes, rehearsals, meetings, or parties, our unique approach helps to ensure all events are a success.
With three beautiful studios and our high-end coffee shop, we are the ideal venue to host any type of class, meeting, party or event. Music, lighting and entertainment can also be provided.
A Coffee, our own coffee shop, serves up speciality coffee, roasted locally by The Blending Room. With a beautiful seating area it's ideal for grabbing a cup whilst waiting or indeed just passing by. The space is also perfect for meetings and engagements.
Our building on Wilson Street dates back to the 1900s when it used to be hardware store. Since then, it has been a clothes shop and more recently a health centre.
When the building came up for sale Chloe Sweeting quickly jumped at the opportunity to fulfil her life long dream of managing a studio space in the Hull area. Having had extensive professional dance training Chloe is excited to have the opportunity to make training accessible to everybody, helping to develop life-long skills in their desired activity.
At the start of 2018, the transformation began to prepare the site for the next generation. Following extensive renovation, we are now proud to present Anlaby Studios.
The Performing Arts School will offer a wide range of classes
ISTD Ballet. ISTD Modern. ISTD Tap. LAMDA Musical Theatre. Street. Acrobatics. Contemporary.
"We will ensure that only the highest quality teaching is offered for each individual activity. The classes will cater to the needs of the students. Students will have the opportunity to develop in one-to-one teaching sessions and will also be offered solo pieces, duets and group dances that can be put forward for local and national competitions, festivals and shows. A nationally recognised examination syllabus will also be taught, enabling students the opportunity to gain qualifications in their chosen style."
We are situated at the heart of the historic village of Anlaby. The studios are easily accessible by public transport and there is a large car-park nearby.
